I was interested to read an article in on Landscape from featured photographer Cath Gothart. I really like her work and it seems to me each image is put together with a lot of thought and care.
I was curious about one of her comments about Instragram “I enjoyed sharing my photos and seeing a progression in my abilities as a photographer. It was a place where I could chat with other photographers and build relationships with people who share the same interest. The landscape photography community was welcoming and supportive, and I made friends there that I have since gone on to meet in real life. I was no longer pursuing my hobby in isolation.”
I comment because I am at the other end of the spectrum : I have had next to zero interaction with the photography community and very little in the way of welcome and support. I was wondering if anyone can help me with some tips to improve on this?
